Banks Vernonia Trail -
23 Miles of hard-surfaced, forested trail
The fifth running of the Oregon Marathon event welcomes you. A great race at a great location - Banks Vernonia Trail in Vernonia and Banks, Oregon. The Marathon is coupled with Oregon Summer Half Marathon and the Oregon Summer Quarter Marathon.
This course is where runners head to in the summer!.
The course is fast - especially the 8 downhill miles at the 13-mile mark.
The 2018 event will certainly draw the area's top runners, and the best looking participants!
Yes all finishing participants receive the finishers medal.
Fastest three in each age group will be announced in the gazebo throughout the morning and displayed on a large screen monitor. Get your placer pin at the results tent.
The Overall 1st, 2nd, & 3rd runners, Masters (age 45+) 1st, 2nd, & 3rd runners, and 1st 65+ will be awarded the special Uberthons Overall award medal at the finish line. See guidelines for awards - CLICK HERE.

Banks High School has lots of elite parking for Summer participants. Get there early, and car pool if you can.
Yes, the event has a bar! An ice cream bar and hamburger bar to help you get back in shape, and is included in each paid race registration. Other family members, friends, and community members may purchase a food ticket for $8.00.
You will check your belongings at the start - they will be transported to the finish line. Please, no valuables.
The start line of the full marathon is located at Vernonia High School in Vernonia, OR. Park your car in Banks at the high school, or near the high school. Please pay attention to regular no parking signs and do not park your cars there.
The buses will leave Banks High School in Banks starting at 5:00 AM. Please be ready to load at 5:00 AM. As soon as the first bus is filled, it will take off and we will start loading the next bus. The last bus will leave at 5:15 AM.
