Tigard Cook Park

Thanksgiving Morning ● November 28, 2019 ● 8:30 AM or 10:00 AM

November 23, 2017

The most popular day of the year to get out and run, to help burn extra calories before the big feast.  Start line and finish line are in the center of Cook Park in Tualatin/Tigard/Durham, right next to Lake Oswego.

The course is mostly flat and fast. This course will have some of the fastest times recorded in all of the Northwest on Thanksgiving morning.  The 2018 event will certainly draw the area's top runners, and the best looking participants!

Parking - Update (11/17/2019)

Parking this year will be a little tricky.  The city of Tigard has taken over a lot of the parking lot at Cook Park with construction equipment.  We will need your help with the following:

  • Carpooling is highly encourged.

  • Park at Tualatin City Park and walk/jog over to Cook Park as your warm-up and cool-down.

  • Park up at Tigard High School and walk/jog down the hill to Cook Park.

We have hired a professional company to assist you as you park for the event.

Please come to packet pickup on Tuesday to help with any lines Thanksgiving morning.  Remember that others can pick up your bib on Tuesday if you are not able to make it there.

Packet Pick Up

We are excited to team up with Rokke Performance Therapy this year.  Packet pickup will be held at their location in Tigard - See map link here

We highly recommend you make the packet pickup time on Tuesday from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm.  For those that come, we will have a raffle drawing for some great packages put together by Rokke Performance, runners will want to check them out.

Yes you may pick up your bibs race morning if that is more convenient for you, but plan on long lines, and you will not be entered into the drawings.

We will also have drawings for free race entries into our other Uberthons events throughout the year for those that come or have their packets picked up for them.

The 5k is chip timed - wear your bib on your chest so timing and photos will work perfectly.

All 5k finishers receive the Turkeython finishers medal. Wear it to church, work, play, running, or swimming, or just hang it on your wall.  Either way, display it with price because you earned it.

Fastest three in each age group will be announced at the finish area throughout the morning. Get your placer pin from Uberthons Hall of Famer, Eileen, under the big gazebo near the finish line.

The overall 1st, 2nd, & 3rd runners, Masters (age 45+) 1st, 2nd, & 3rd runners, and 1st 65+ will be awarded the special Uberthons overall award medal at the finish line. Both male and female receive the overall medals.
