Tigard Cook Park

Thanksgiving Morning ● November 24, 2022 ● 8:00 AM or 10:00 AM

The Turkeython started in 2011 as a way to provide a fun activity for individuals and families on Thanksgiving morning. Sure, other Thanksgiving events were already established, but not in all areas. People will get up early Thanksgiving morning to go to a running event if the event is relatively close.  Lots of people want to run even if they have to travel. The Turkeython was established in several locations so people can choose to run an event that is close to where they live.

The Turkeython is in three locations this year -

Tigard, Oregon CLICK HERE

Hillsboro, Oregon CLICK HERE

Downtown Portland starting in the Water Park area near Morrison Bridge CLICK HERE

All locations have finisher medals, race bibs, announcements, Costco muffins, timing systems, and big, inflatable arches.  The only thing different about each location is the Santa Clauses - only one of the locations has the real Santa Claus!

The Turkeython encourages you to form a team, bring your family, and bring your neighborhood.

One of the nice things about the Turkeython events is the timing system.  Most are chip-timed; some are timed manually, and some are simply fun runs without timing results. . In addition to the leader board, all timed Turkeythons are combined into a all-locations leader board. How about that!  You really are competing with all the runners in the other events - you will see how you compare to the other timed Turkeythons.  Only the Downtown Portland Turkeython is not timed, but, those runners get their very own stop watch so they can still have a result.

Each Turkeython has wonderful race directors and volunteers.  If you would like to volunteer at a Turkeython, email Alan at alan@uberthons.com

If you would like to have a Turkeython in your area, email Uberthons@gmail.com, and a Turkeython could come to your neighborhood.

How cool is that!
